All artworks are to be saved in
a minimum resolution of 300dpi at the exact size for it to deliver
the closest accuracy for the end result. But we do understand
that the artwork size may sometimes be too big, making it impossible
to save and burn onto CD.
Therefore the lowest acceptable resolution is 72 dpi. The consequences
of saving artwork at a lower resolution will be borne by the
clients themselves. Please also do bear in mind that if your
source file is originally in low resolution, saving it in a
higher resolution will not result in improved image quality. |

All our printers are calibrated in a weekly basis. We output
directly from your files, but as we are not the developer
for the applications or systems you are using, we cannot control,
alter or be liable for the way the applications or systems
handle and print color. What we can do is to ensure that our
printers are actively calibrated.
At Media Grafix, we dont color catch or
color match. If the printing job has to be of
a certain color, we would suggest that you come down to our
shop and choose the color from our color chart. By the way,
not all PANTONE colors can be reproduced by a CMYK printer.
Further to add, computer monitors display colours in RGB mode,
which cannot be accurately used to determine colour print
results. They are at most competent enough to show that RED
is red, BLUE is blue and so on, but it does not display the
actual hue and intensity of the colour print result.

The RGB -> CMYK colour conversion is not perfect. A certain
amount of "colour compromise" has to be made before
achieving an almost similar result. Also, remember that an
non-calibrated screen will cause more difficulties in identifying
colours, which is why our CMYK color book is handy.
Files should be in CMYK format (if possible), and not RGB.
Remember that RGB is great for web images but when printed,
the colours might not appear to what you have intentionally
want it to be.
